the card opening up……………….the card closed…………….

the inside! BACK STORY: My mother asked me to make one of her bff’s a card. She loves the jets and I didn’t want to make the card to boyish so I added some glitz with the paper. I put her favorite players number as well as a smart comment on the inside. My mother is a colts fan…so giving away ANYTHING jets killed her! LOL! I was pleased with the card and wanted to try a different style.

My father in law works on cars A LOT!! I thought of him when I seen this car on the Holiday cakes cartridge. I used the really shinny red paper from the Citrus cardstock pack (dcwv) and the car paper from the Stack 6(dcwv). I added his name on the plate..ended up really cute..for a guy card. Smile

quick grad card

I just threw this card together for my cousins grad party. The school colors are red, white and black. I didn’t want it to be too girly but also not too boring. I added a drop slot on the inside for money.

This is one of the few cards that were given to my kids’ teachers this year. I used some of the squares to add on the inside as well. Bright colors!! Smile

challenge 4

Mothers Day themed. I made this cute but simple mothers day card from the target dollar bin paper. I wrote all of the mushy mothers day stuff on the inside. My mom loved it!! I also made one for my mother-in-law.

3d challenge. I made this card for my best friends birthday. I added several pop dots to make it as 3D as I could. Some extra bling on the side from the dollar tree. I wrote a nice story on the inside of how we met. She will love it!

Summer themed project. I killed 2 birds with 1 stone. I wanted to make a couple of cards for my kid’s teachers and this challenge allowed me to do that. Inside says “enjoy your summer” The paper is from a target dollar set..again. I LOVE THOSE!!

challenge 6

A birthday card just isnt complete without a cake. Smile (partytime by Christy Lyle)

Challenge 1

Anything cupcake!! I used paper from the sweet stack from dcwv. I found a page that had 3 patterns. I cut out the cupcakes and pop dotted them. I really like the green and brown look.

Challenge 7

Scrapbook page

This challenge was easy to do. I have over 400 pictures organized…WAITING…on me to scrapbook. The bottom picture is of my daughters butt cheeks. One says “spoiled” and the other says “brat”. LOL

Challenge 10

Pet!! Howdy!!

My pink stamper national scrapbook day challenges…#12

Something with a kid theme.

I had my 2 kids help out with their mother’s day gifts to their grandmas. They used their hands on the outside of the cards as well as stamps for the bags. My son drew a cute little picture on the inside especially for his grandmas. I wrote “From our hands to you heart” on the card.

easter goody bags for school

DSC04105

DSC04108

So…not only did I make goody bags for my son’s kindergarten class BUT…I let my kids help. WOW!! IT TOOK FOREVER! They argued who would do the glueing of the bunnies and then who would do the cuttlebugging. I tried to limit my daughter to putting the pop up dots on the bunnies and my son to the cuttlebug and glueing. I love doing these types of projects but next time will do them while “their” asleep. LOL

first pages of the month

DSC04102

I am trying to make a few pages a week and I had actually made the so sweet cupcake for a card. Of course I made it too big the first time, so I finished it for a page. This picture was taken in 2008 after I had my daughter. How the time fly’s.

DSC04104

In this collage picture, my daughter was 5 months old and my son was almost 4. This was BEFORE they fought all the time..oh I wish I still had those days. I didn’t want to do anything too fancy because the pictures on the collage say enough for me.

Again, I tried the dash’s and I am now hooked. I’ve used these same dots in several cards. I really like them. If I really dig into all of my paper, I think I have LOTS of dot paper. I need to use them up. LOL

more easter…

Easter bunny!! I HAD to add dots to the bunny…I don’t know why..I just did. I had a piece of crinkled paper and that’s what I used for the background. White ribbon and the bunny is now happy. Smile
